HIV PrEP

PrEP, or Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis, is a once-daily pill that significantly reduces your risk of acquiring HIV. If you believe you might be at risk, we can help. NTACHC offers appointments with one of our expert health care providers who can help you decide if PrEP is right for you.

Generally, PrEP is available at low to no-cost. Most insurance plans and state Medicaid programs cover PrEP, and there are medication assistance programs that provide free PrEP medications to people without insurance. Our staff is available to assess your financial situation and find assistance programs available to you.

Once you have started PrEP, you will be referred to our pharmacy to coordinate refills. We also offer additional lab testing and follow-up visits via telemedicine.

To find out if PrEP is the right HIV prevention strategy for you or to learn more, contact us at 817-625-4254 and ask for our PrEP Navigator, Carmen Lavarreda.

Days/Hours for HIV PrEP Services: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-11:45am and 1:00pm-3:00pm
